Jane Woodworth Rotondi grew up on the coast of Maine, where she now lives with her husband and two sons. Her paintings reflect the memories, senses and images she has absorbed living in Maine. Ideas for Jane's work come from her natural surroundings and the clarifying perspective that children offer. Jane studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI and at the Portland School of Art in Portland, Maine, graduating with a B.F.A. in Painting in 1985. She is primarily a landscape painter in acrylics, pastels and watercolors. Jane recently created a collection of whimsical and colorful paintings on recessed wooden panels, which inspired the Celebrate calendar. Jane has paintings in many private collections and she continues to do commission work. She exhibits her paintings locally and currently works from her studio in Cumberland, Maine.
